Access Funds from Your Lifetime Mortgage

If your lifetime mortgage includes a drawdown facility, you may still have funds available to access. You can request a drawdown after six months from receiving your initial lump sum, subject to:

  • A minimum withdrawal of £2,000 per request
  • A maximum of four withdrawals in each 12 month period from the start of your mortgage

How to Request a Drawdown

If you still have funds available and would like to access some or all of your remaining drawdown facility, please follow the steps below.

Complete the drawdown request form below or contact us if you require it in a different format.

Step 2. What we do next

When we receive your request, we will review it and we'll either be in touch to request some further information or we'll send you a personalised Offer document including:

  • The impact of the requested drawdown
  • The current interest rate that will apply
  • An acceptance form

Step 3. What you do next

  • Review the Offer document
  • If you wish, speak with your equity release adviser before making a decision
  • Complete the Acceptance Form and return it if you want to go ahead

Sending us a request for drawdown does not commit you to anything - it simply allows us to send you some information you need to make an informed choice.

Acting as Power of Attorney

If you are acting on behalf of the account holder under a registered Power of Attorney (PoA):

  • You can complete the drawdown request form on their behalf
  • If we have not yet registered your PoA, please contact us on 020 4525 7754 before so we can update our records before processing any drawdown request

  • Yes, if your product allows it and the full amount is still available. However, we suggest only drawing down what you need, as interest is accrued from the day we send you the money. We recommend speaking with your broker or financial advisor if you are unsure whether a drawdown is the option for you.

  • Yes. We’ll send a written confirmation once your drawdown has been processed and funds have been transferred.
